Rose

Rose is a charming 3-4 year old Poodle mix weighing in at 12.5 lbs. She came to us from a puppy mill environment and is a very happy girl whose tail wags constantly! Rose absolutely loves toys, and her current favorite is a red crab. She enjoys sleeping on her foster parent's bed or in a dog bed on the floor. Rose eats twice a day and enjoys her canned food with a little chopped chicken or rice mixed in. She's also a good traveler and is happy to sit in a dog bed during car rides.

Ideal Home

Rose would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time, perhaps someone retired or working from home. A house with a fenced-in backyard is a must, as she does bark a little and would not be suited for an apartment. She tends to gravitate towards women and may initially bark or growl at strangers or men entering a room, but she is not aggressive and does not bite.

Ongoing Health

Rose has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Coming from a puppy mill, Rose is still working on some things. She is using puppy pads and going outside, but still has occasional accidents and will need some assistance with housetraining. She has also not yet been walked on a leash and does not know how to use stairs. Patience, structure, and ongoing support will be key to her continued adjustment and rehabilitation.

Rose is currently being fostered in the Cleveland, OH area. Transport can be arranged to the Wags adoption event in Illinois.
