Happy

Meet Happy, a 4-year-old, 32lb tri-color Shiba Inu mix who always looks like he's smiling! Happy's journey to finding his forever home hasn't been easy. He was found by animal control with injuries, including a deep wound on his back leg, likely from a car accident. After extensive treatment, he's now fully healed and ready for a loving family. For years, Happy also suffered from painful entropion in both eyes, a condition where his eyelashes constantly scraped his eyes. He's undergone surgery to correct this, and he's so much more comfortable now, free from irritation and discomfort. Happy is a joy to be around, especially now that he's feeling his best! He absolutely loves playing with toys and has a lot of fun bouncing around.

Ideal Home

Happy is looking for a Shiba-savvy home that understands and appreciates the breed's unique, sometimes cat-like, personality and their tendency to be escape artists. A home that can keep him safe and secure will be ideal. He seems to prefer to be the only pet in the household.

Ongoing Health

Happy has fully recovered from his past injuries and entropion surgery. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

While Happy is a lot of fun and playful, he's also been through a lot. He may benefit from continued positive reinforcement and a patient owner.
