Avery

Avery and her brother Broono are a bonded pair of 10-year-old Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier mixes. They've been together their entire lives, sharing a home with their young owner since she was just 9 years old. Sadly, due to a family tragedy, their owner can no longer care for them and has made the difficult decision to find them a loving new home. Avery and Broono are housebroken and crate-trained. They can be a bit shy at first with new people, but their tails start wagging quickly once they realize snacks are involved! Belly rubs and tasty treats are their absolute favorite things. While they've lived with other small dogs before, we believe they would be happiest as the only dogs in the home, making their transition to a new environment a little less stressful. They are generally good with children, but given their age and initial shyness, a quieter home with older, calm children would be ideal. They would prefer a home without cats.

Ongoing Health

Avery and Broono are already spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Their adoption fee includes 30 days of free pet insurance through MetLife, and a "clean start" bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and nail trim at Scenthound.

Training & Support

Avery and Broono are housebroken and crate-trained. They are initially shy but warm up quickly with treats. Their adoption includes free training support for the life of the pet, including group classes.
