Ruger

Ruger is a handsome 2-year-old hound mix with a heart full of love! He's a high-energy pup who enjoys being both inside and outside, especially in a securely fenced yard. Ruger is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves to cuddle and shower his people with affection. He does well with other dogs and has been around cats, though he hasn't had free-range interaction with them. Due to his enthusiastic cuddling style, he might be too much for very young children, but he would likely do well with older kids. Ruger is already fixed and up-to-date on his shots.

Ideal Home

Ruger would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can safely play and explore. While he is crate trained, he doesn't particularly like his crate, so a home that can offer him freedom outside of a crate environment would be ideal. Given his loving and sometimes overwhelming cuddles, a family with older children or adults would be best.

Ruger is neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Ruger is not yet house-trained, so he will need consistent training and patience in this area. He is crate trained but doesn't enjoy it, so guidance on making his crate a more positive space or transitioning away from it might be beneficial.
