Meet Daiquiri, a 4 ½-year-old sweet and comforting companion who is happiest when snuggled up close. He used to be a social butterfly, but after a tough experience with another dog, his confidence was shaken. Now, he's searching for a patient and loving family or individual who will help him rediscover his courage and feel safe and confident again. With the right home, Daiquiri is sure to blossom into the happy, playful dog he once was.

No specific health conditions are mentioned. All vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, and micro-chipping, is covered by the adoption fee.

Training & Support

Daiquiri is a bit shy and unsure around other dogs due to a past negative experience. He will need continued training efforts and understanding from his new family to help him regain his confidence. The shelter provides behavior and medical care, socialization through playgroups and one-on-one bonding, and works on skills like leash training and basic commands to prepare dogs for adoption.

Transportation

Daiquiri is currently in Angleton, Texas. He is available for transport to VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, & OH. Transport is provided via comfortable, air-conditioned buses with dedicated staff, and adopters can follow the journey on a private Facebook Event page. Pick-up locations will be coordinated to be as close as possible to adopters.
