Howie

Meet Howie, a Pyrfect puppy who is happy, playful, and affectionate! He's the last of his siblings still available for adoption. Howie is part of a litter from West Plains, MO, who were unfortunately abandoned outside when their owner passed away. In his foster home, Howie has blossomed into a confident pup, eager to learn new things. He's great at reading social cues from other dogs and cats, engaging in play when invited and respectfully backing off if they're not in the mood. Howie has a healthy appetite and is motivated enough by treats to learn! Watch out for those big Pyr paws – he's currently in a teething phase and loves to chew, but he responds well to gentle correction. He's also 100% potty trained and walks pretty well on a leash. Honestly, you couldn't ask for a better puppy!

Howie is 7 months old and weighs about 65 lbs.

Ongoing Health

Howie is up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. He will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract, with the adopter promising to neuter him at 1 year old and provide vet records at that time.

Training & Support

Howie is working through a teething phase and enjoys chewing, but he responds well to correction. He is 100% potty trained and walks fairly well on a leash.

Howie is being fostered in Columbia, MO. Adopters can be located in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, and Arkansas. We are able to help transport to those states.
