Yumi is a 2.5-year-old, 50 lb Bulldog mix who is as sweet as she is energetic! She's a professional snuggler who makes the silliest noises when she's sleeping or exploring the world on a walk. Yumi is house-trained, crate-trained, and a wonderful roommate who loves to lounge and cuddle, especially when belly rubs are involved. She's not a noisy girl when left to her own devices and thrives when she feels connected to her person.
Ideal Home
Yumi will thrive in a calm, structured household with a family committed to continuing her training. She cannot live in a home with cats. She may show some fearfulness if pressured too hard too soon by men, so a home without this kind of pressure would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Yumi has experienced hind leg pain, which can understandably make a dog less patient.
Training & Support
Yumi is currently working hard on life skills such as calmness, self-control, leash walking, and polite household manners. She's a smart girl who responds well to positive reinforcement training. She enjoys engaging games, enrichment toys, and training that engages her brain. While she has been friendly with other dogs, she has had some recent struggles, so proper introductions and a calm environment are prioritized.
