Luca

Hi there! I'm Luca, a handsome Shepherd/terrier mix with a heart full of love and a wagging tail ready to find my forever family. I'm about 1 year old and weigh around 46 pounds. I came to Lucky Dog from Puerto Rico and am still learning all about life in a new place. My foster parents say I'm very mindful, cutesy, and demure. I'm getting used to meeting new people and showing them how much love I have to give! I sleep through the night and love to play when I'm awake. I'm even pretty good about not touching things I shouldn't – my foster is super impressed! I enjoy watching the world go by from a sunny window or a comfy perch. I'm a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs and would love to make some canine friends.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a patient and committed family who can help me continue to socialize and explore my new world. I would do best with either another friendly dog in the home or a family who can regularly take me on walks with other dogs, to the dog park, or to doggie daycare so I can learn the ropes. I do not recommend me for a home with kids.

Ongoing Health

Dogs from Puerto Rico need extra support with socialization as they adjust to a new environment.

Training & Support

I'm working on my crate training and am not guaranteed to be housebroken, but I'm a smart pup and eager to learn!
