Meet Yeager! This tall, athletic, funny, and painfully handsome Doberman is all about boundless energy and zero self-control. He's a complex guy who is obliviously happy, living in his own chaotic, joyful world. Yeager is a full-time project dog with a lot to offer the right person! He's generally good with female dogs and smaller to medium-sized male dogs, and has done well with cats and older kids. He's extremely happy, confident, and always ready for an adventure.

Ideal Home

Yeager needs experienced, active, and consistent human(s) who won't give up on him when he inevitably tests every boundary. Previous Doberman or working-breed experience is strongly preferred. This is not a dog for someone seeking a chill, easy companion.

Ongoing Health

Yeager is a deep-chested breed, so awareness of potential bloat is required.

Training & Support

Yeager is potty trained but will have accidents and mark indoors if not supervised, as he doesn't always communicate his needs. He doesn't respond well to typical human correction and learns patterns quickly, sometimes using them to his advantage, especially around food. He rarely settles, especially when other animals are around, and tends to forget training lessons quickly. He has a tendency to destroy beds, feeders, and anything not built for chaos. He eats very fast and will want to sprint and jump immediately afterward. He requires someone experienced, structured, and committed to ongoing training.
