Opie

Hi there! I'm Opie, a charming 1.5-year-old male Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix weighing in at around 16 pounds. I'm an absolute sweetheart looking for my forever home! I was found as a stray and brought to a wonderful rescue that's committed to finding me the perfect family. I promise to be an adoring companion!

Ideal Home

I love to cuddle on the couch and will try to get as close as possible to you. I also enjoy running around a fenced yard to burn off energy. I can be a bit of a barker and will definitely let you know if someone is on the street or at the door, and I'll also bark at people I see outside. I haven't been around children, but with my energetic nature, I might do well with supervised interactions. I'm looking for a family who wants a devoted doggo!

Training & Support

I'm still working on my potty training. While I'm getting better at going outside when I need to, I may not always finish, so continued reinforcement is key. I tend to eat all my food quickly, but I've learned to share my bowl with other dogs. I also need a little work on not being too energetic for older dogs. I do okay in a kennel and won't potty in them, and I settle down to sleep with a soft blanket. I'll listen when you call me, especially if you clap your hands!
