Boone

Hi, I'm Boone! I'm a sweet and gentle 3-year-old boy with the cutest face and so much expression in my brows! I've been looking for my forever home and I'm so excited to meet you. While I was a little shy meeting new people at first, I've made a lot of progress and now I love making new friends. I've never growled or snapped at anyone, even at the vet, and I've worked really hard to trust people. I also enjoy the company of other dogs, especially a confident and easy-going friend who can show me the ropes. I'm a perfect gentleman on walks, never bark excessively, and I always do my business outside. I'm also not destructive and don't try to escape my yard. I'm happy to go with the flow and enjoy whatever activities my family is up to!

Ideal Home

I would love a home that is somewhat calm with not a lot of new people coming and going. If you do have visitors, please ensure I have a space where I can retreat if I feel overwhelmed. Bonus points if your friends bring their dogs over for playdates, as I love having dog friends! I have also met a dog-savvy cat and we became friends.

Ongoing Health

I have hip dysplasia, but an orthopedic vet has advised that surgery is not needed at this time and may never be. I do take an anti-inflammatory medication once a day. I am very active and enjoy normal exercise, including hiking, exploring, and running with other dogs. I may occasionally have a very mild limp on one side.

Training & Support

I am house-trained and do not engage in destructive behavior. I am also good on a leash.
