Darcie

Meet Darcie, a sweet and gentle 4.5-year-old Australian Shepherd who is learning what it means to feel safe and comfortable.

Darcie came from a difficult situation and is extremely shut down, so she needs a patient, understanding adopter who will let her build trust and confidence at her own pace. In her foster home, she has been making small but meaningful steps forward, and she will need someone who celebrates those little victories.

Darcie may not immediately run up looking for attention, but with patience, consistency, a quiet home, and plenty of time and space, she can continue coming out of her shell. She does well with cats and may be the perfect match for a calm, compassionate home.

Ideal Home

• A patient adopter who understands that building trust will take time
• A quiet, consistent home where Darcie can progress at her own pace
• Someone willing to give her the time and space she needs

Training & Support
