Meet Sadie, a sweet and affectionate 5-year-old, 62-pound Labradoodle looking for a loving new family. She enjoys spending time with her people, playing with stuffies, ropes, Nylabones, and long-lasting bones, relaxing in her soft bed, and dressing up in doggy clothes. She is loyal, playful, and not picky with treats.

Sadie has experienced abuse and neglect and can be fearful of loud noises, sudden commotion, and unfamiliar visitors. She may bark until she feels comfortable, but with patience and love she has made meaningful progress.

Ideal Home

Sadie would thrive in a calm, low-traffic adult home without children living in the household. She needs a patient family willing to help her feel safe and secure. She has been around children, but a quieter home is considered the best long-term fit. She is reported to be good with dogs and not good with cats.

Ongoing Health

Sadie is overall healthy and is not currently taking medication. She has chicken allergies, anxiety, and a history of ear infections. Her ears should be cleaned every one to two weeks. Her veterinarian has discussed Benadryl, Apoquel, Cytopoint, calming chews, or other over-the-counter anxiety support when needed.

Her adoption veterinary care includes spay, rabies and distemper vaccinations, deworming, current flea and tick treatment, and microchipping.

Training & Support

Sadie is house-trained and follows a bathroom routine about every three to four hours. She can stay alone for approximately four hours and may have a few accidents while adjusting to a new environment. She eats Pedigree Gravy and Veggies, with her bowl refreshed each morning.
