Rocky is a legend in his own right, a resilient survivor who once roamed the streets of Mississippi for about a year and a half, evading capture with incredible street smarts. After finally being rescued, he made a daring escape, traveling 17 miles back to his familiar territory, only to be safely captured again after a two-day search. Now around 4 years old and weighing under 35 lbs, this "mini Rottweiler" has settled into foster care and is slowly learning that humans can offer comfort and consistency. He bonds deeply and is looking for a devoted companion to be his anchor.
Ideal Home
Rocky would thrive as the sole focus in a quiet, stable home where he can decompress without competition for attention. He seems to prefer women and would do best in a calm environment with fewer pets. Given his history, his adopter must be fully committed to his safety, structure, and containment, as he has proven he will go to great lengths to find his way.
Ongoing Health
All of our dogs are vet-checked, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Rocky currently wears a GPS tracker at all times due to his history.
Training & Support
Rocky has formed a deep bond with his foster mom and struggles with big transitions. He needs an adopter who understands that trust is earned slowly and protected carefully. He requires patience, a steady presence, and a commitment to his safety and containment.

Transporation
Rocky is currently located in South Mississippi. We welcome both local and out-of-town adopters. For those not local, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states. The adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing.
