Meet Grover Chillington!
Grover's journey began in a high-kill shelter in Houston, where he was sadly placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, a wonderful foster family stepped in, recognizing the pure perfection that Grover is. Now, this charming boy is ready to find his forever home! Grover is the epitome of chill, so much so that he was initially estimated to be 6 years old. However, multiple vet visits suggest he's likely between 2-3 years old, definitely no older than 3. Weighing around 48 pounds, he's the ideal medium size, embodying an old soul in a good boy's body.
Grover thrives on companionship and loves being part of the action, whether it's lounging in the backyard, joining you for a walk, or claiming the coziest spot for a nap. He enjoys exploring but isn't a high-energy athlete; a few daily walks and quality time with his family are all he needs to be happy. He's incredibly well-behaved, even off-leash, and never strays far from his people.
Grover is fully house-trained and exhibits excellent house manners. He settles in nicely indoors, gets along with everyone he meets, is not destructive, and cherishes a comfy bed after his adventures. His ideal home would be filled with lots of love, a soft place to sleep, and people who appreciate a devoted canine companion. While a little shy initially, he quickly blossoms into a belly-rub-loving goofball within minutes.
He has a gentle, friendly nature and quickly wins over people and animals alike with his charming personality. Grover has done well with other dogs, farm animals, and enjoys making new friends. Though his breed is a mystery, he's a low-energy, quiet companion, making him a truly unique find!
Grover is currently finishing up heartworm treatment and will be ready to travel to his forever home in July. He is truly the easiest, most loving guy around, and whoever adopts him will be incredibly lucky.
