Fiona is a 2-year-old small Border Collie with a big personality and even bigger energy. This sweet, affectionate girl came to us after spending her first two years living outdoors on an Amish farm. Despite her rough start, Fiona loves being around her people and is always ready for her next adventure. Whether she's running zoomies in the yard, jumping around, or exploring, Fiona thrives the most when she has opportunities to stay active and engaged.
Ideal Home
Fiona is looking for an active home that understands the needs of smart, energetic dogs. She'll do best with adopters who can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and positive reinforcement training. Because she can be mouthy and may grab at hands, we believe she'd do best in a home without small children.
Ongoing Health
Fiona is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. Her adoption fee includes her alteration, microchip, rabies, Bordetella, and age-appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.
Training & Support
Like many young, intelligent herding breed dogs, Fiona is eager, enthusiastic, and still learning some important manners. She can be mouthy and may grab at hands, so she'll need an adopter who is committed to continuing her training and helping her learn appropriate ways to channel her energy. Fiona is still adjusting to indoor living and will need patience, consistency, and a predictable routine as she learns to be house-trained. One of her best qualities is how comfortable she is in her crate; she views it as a safe place and will often retreat there to relax and recharge.
