Meet Ziggy! This sweet 8-year-old Schnauzer has been overlooked for too long and is now ready to find her forever family. Ziggy lived a life of neglect, missing out on veterinary care, family activities, and the love every dog deserves. Thankfully, a kind neighbor stepped in, showering her with affection and advocating for her to have the life she truly deserved. After her owners finally agreed, Ziggy received a much-needed vet visit and is now at Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue, eager to start her new chapter. Ziggy is a wonderful companion who loves people and gets along with other dogs, cats, and respectful children. She's past her puppy days and prefers a peaceful home where she can enjoy leisurely walks, relax, and receive plenty of affection. She's healthy, happy, and has a lot of love to give, waiting to be someone's cherished best friend.

Ideal Home

Ziggy would love a peaceful home where she can relax. She is not interested in roughhousing or having large, energetic dogs bounce in her face.

Transporation

Ziggy is currently in an Alabama foster home and will be transported north to the New England area after adoption. Transport is provided by a licensed transporter and is included in the adoption fee.
