Buddy recently lost his beloved elderly dad and is now searching for someone to share the rest of his life with. This sweet senior gentleman has officially entered his "let's take a nap and lounge around together" era and is looking for a family who appreciates the simple joys in life. Buddy is a laid-back, easygoing companion who is happiest relaxing by your side, soaking up affection, and enjoying a peaceful home. He arrived in rescue care quite overweight but has started his weight-loss journey and is making great progress. He would love a family committed to helping him continue that journey so he can enjoy his golden years to the fullest. Buddy truly loves everyone; he gets along wonderfully with people of all ages, is cat-friendly, and enjoys the company of other dogs. His gentle, easygoing nature makes him a fantastic addition to just about any home.

Buddy is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped with lifetime registration. He is currently on a weight-loss journey and has about 30 pounds to lose.

• Our adoption process includes speaking with the current foster/caretaker for additional personality information, pictures, video, and a video call if available.
• Adoption fee: $400, includes transport.

Transporation

Buddy is currently located/fostering in Texas but is available with transport included. We work with trusted rescue transports that take great care of the animals and keep adopters and rescues informed throughout the journey with dedicated group chats and Life360 tracking.
