Squishy face and a soft spot for belly rubs... this is Gordo, and yes, his name fits him in the sweetest, most endearing way. He's about 69 lbs. of American Bully goodness, and while breed is our best guess, his vibe is unmistakable... gentle, thoughtful, and quietly charming. Gordo is a big 'ol baby who loves baby talk, and he melts into affection when met with soft, loving hands. He's a relaxed, low-energy guy who enjoys a go-with-the-flow lifestyle with a perfect touch of goofiness. Gordo meets new dogs with friendly confidence and tends to be more of an observer in playgroups, preferring to stay close to his people. He handles pushy dogs by walking away or giving a small, appropriate correction.
Ideal Home
Gordo would do best with dogs his size or larger, ideally a calm, aloof female who isn't looking for constant play. He would do best with older kids while he continues learning his best manners. No cats for Gordo.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Gordo has basic leash skills but can be strong due to his size and will need someone who can confidently guide him. He responds well when walks are made fun and engaging and is very food motivated. He wants to learn and do the right thing, but he needs someone to show him how. Someone familiar with bully breeds who understands how to channel enthusiasm into good habits would be ideal.
