I'm Hunie, an 8-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for my people! My life took an unexpected turn when my previous family surrendered me to a busy shelter. Thankfully, my foster mom stepped in, helped me heal, and reminded me of the joy of being loved. Now, I'm eagerly searching for a forever family who will cherish me and never give up on our bond.
I'm a well-mannered girl who knows the importance of playing with my own toys and leaving shoes alone. Squeaky toys and cozy donut beds are my absolute favorites! I'm also a champion sleeper and love nothing more than a lazy morning snooze with my favorite person.
Walks are a highlight of my day! I thoroughly enjoy long, sniffy adventures and I'm an excellent companion for any outing. While I'm still learning, I can sometimes be a bit reactive to other dogs on leash. With patience and positive reinforcement training, I might even be able to share my home with another dog after slow and careful introductions. I absolutely adore people and can't wait to be someone's devoted best friend.

A home where I can be your loyal best friend and collect all your squeaky toys! While I'm learning to be comfortable around other dogs, I may need slow introductions.
Ongoing Health
I'm healthy and have been spayed. I've received my first 2 DAPP vaccinations, Bordetella, and have been tested for heartworm, dewormed, and treated for fleas. I am microchipped.
Training & Support
I'm a polite girl with great house manners! I know to chew my toys and not shoes. I'm working on my leash reactivity towards other dogs, and with continued positive training and patience, I'm sure to make great progress!
