Rusty

Rusty is a spunky, 4-5 year old, neutered male Black Mouth Cur Shepherd mix who weighs around 50lbs. He loves to play, especially games of keep-away and chase! Rusty is up-to-date on all his shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He's a smart boy who gets excited for food and treats, and knows his basic commands. While he had some potty accidents in the shelter, he's been perfect in his foster home and is both potty trained and crate trained. Rusty rides well in the car and has no anxiety.

Ideal Home

Rusty would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard, as he is not off-leash trained and would not do well in an apartment. He can be an only dog or live with a medium to large dog, male or female. His compatibility with cats is unknown. He would do well with a couple, a single person, or a family with children older than 10, as his exuberance might accidentally knock over a younger child. An active family who includes him in daily activities and adventures would be perfect for him.

Ongoing Health

Rusty is up-to-date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and has been microchipped.

Training & Support

Rusty is potty trained and crate trained. He is not off-leash trained and will require a securely fenced yard.
