Axle

Meet Axle! He's a handsome 4-year-old black Lab with a heart full of fun! Axle joined our shelter family when he was surrendered, having had a brief and confusing experience in a previous home. Despite his past, he's ready for a fresh start with someone who will cherish him. He's a playful, smart, and trainable companion who loves to fetch and would make an excellent walking or hiking buddy. Axle is also house-trained, so you won't have to start from scratch!

Ideal Home

Axle would thrive in an active home. He can be a bit jumpy and may be overwhelming for very young children, but he listens well and would be wonderful with older children who can handle his enthusiasm. He's also good with other dogs, but a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure a smooth introduction.

Ongoing Health

Axle is neutered, up-to-date on rabies and DHPP vaccines, and has been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases. He is also microchipped.

Training & Support

Axle is a smart and trainable boy! He has received training evaluations and our trainer has been working with him. While he can be a little jumpy, he responds well to commands like "stop" and "sit." Continued positive reinforcement will help him continue to shine.
