Meet Rufus, a delightful 2-year-old, 22lb Cockapoo/Shih Tzu mix who is as smart and sweet as he is handsome! He's a fluffy, scruffy charmer with a big heart, rescued from life on the streets in Texas. Despite his rough start, his tail never stopped wagging, a testament to his resilient and joyful spirit. Now cleaned up and adored, Rufus is a clever, affectionate pup who just wants to shower his forever family with love. At a perfect "pick me up" size, he absolutely adores belly rubs and is eager to please.

Ideal Home

Rufus is a social butterfly who loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. He would also do well as an only dog with active humans. Due to his boundless enthusiasm and zest for life, Rufus is best suited for a home without children under the age of 10.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is fully vetted and ready for his forever home! He has been neutered, microchipped, tested heartworm negative, and is up to date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Rufus is a bright boy who knows "sit" and is eager to learn more. He is crate trained and house trained when kept on a consistent schedule. He comes when called and is always trying to figure things out, demonstrating his desire to be a good boy.
