Sadie is a playful and energetic young girl with a gentle heart. She can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but with patience and kind affection, she quickly begins to relax and show her sweet personality. She loves to run, play, and especially enjoys hugs and cuddles once she feels safe. Sadie is joyful, loving, and full of energy. She is Balu’s sister, and they share the same rescue story. In October 2024, they were found abandoned along with their siblings in a planter outside a school. They were very young and crying when they were rescued. Since then, Sadie has been waiting for her chance to experience life in a loving home. It's essential to recognize that our dogs may have experienced trauma before arriving at ADAC. As a result, they may require an adjustment period in a foster or permanent home. Patience and understanding are crucial when dealing with rescued dogs.
Ideal Home
A home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Families who are looking for a companion with the intention to truly rescue a dog, understanding the needs and behaviors of street animals. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. High tolerance and patience are essential for rescued puppies. Please note, Sadie is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Sadie has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. She has tested negative for heartworm and 4DX. She receives monthly preventive treatment for fleas, ticks, and heartworm (Nexgard Spectra). A health certificate and vaccine booklet are provided.
Training & Support
Sadie is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency in potty training. Due to potential past trauma, she may need time to build trust and adjust to a new environment. Providing a safe and loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries will help her feel secure.
