Nellie Jo is a delightful hound mix, about a year old and weighing in at a healthy 50 lbs, with a little more growing to do. She's already mastered house and crate training and is diligently working on leash manners and basic obedience. Nellie Jo is a smart cookie, with a nose that's always leading the way! While a bit shy when first meeting new people, her playful spirit quickly emerges. She's currently thriving in a foster home with two dogs and two children (ages 8 and up), proving herself to be a loving and loyal companion. Nellie Jo adores her humans and is perfectly content to relax by your side, making her an excellent family dog.

Ideal Home

Nellie Jo would do best in a home where she can continue her training and exploration. She's already shown she can do well with dogs and children over 8 years old.

Training & Support

Nellie Jo is house trained and crate trained. She is learning to walk on a leash and is working on basic obedience. Her nose is always to the ground, so some patience will be needed as she explores the world!
