Rex is a handsome shepherd mix, likely around six years old, with a deep capacity for both longing and love. He was found on the streets of Houston, confused and waiting, eventually jumping into a car with strangers, hoping for a better future. Despite his past abandonment, Rex remembers his former owners and grieves their absence, showing a quiet confusion about his current surroundings. He possesses a strong, dominant personality but actively avoids conflict. Rex is a sensitive soul who responds to kindness and will gently lean in for pets when he feels comfortable, but he is also discerning and will vocalize his discomfort with a growl if he feels pushed or if something seems amiss. He is a resilient dog, grieving the family who let him down, and he is searching for a patient and understanding human.
