Maya

Maya is a sweet 67 lb girl who is eager to be someone's shadow. She came to us with a mammary tumor, severe anemia requiring a blood transfusion, and a diagnosis of Tick Fever. The tumor has been surgically removed, and she's recovering wonderfully! Her foster mom describes her as a happy, well-mannered dog who is always interested in meeting other dogs and shows no aggression. Maya enjoys being part of the pack and is a pleasure to have around the house. She's content to relax on her bed when you're away and is very cooperative when it comes to her care. Her favorite pastime? Playing with balls, especially when they escape during a game of pickleball!

Ongoing Health

Maya will need medical re-testing for cancer every three months for up to a year. Local adoption is recommended due to the potential costs of future treatment.

Training & Support

Maya has excellent house manners and comes when called. She is happy to be crated at night or sleeps on her bed when left alone.
