Bessie

Bessie is a sweet, lovable senior Chihuahua mix weighing about 9 pounds. She enjoys sleeping in bed, likes her space while resting, and stays quiet through the night. She came to rescue as a stray from Vigo County and is looking for a caring approved home.

Ideal Home

Bessie is comfortable around other dogs and goes outside with the resident dogs. She is nervous when held and is not suited to a home where she would be held by a group of children. Her food intake should be monitored because she is a little chunky.

Ongoing Health

• Spayed and microchipped
• Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, including Bordetella
• Dewormed
• Kept on monthly flea and heartworm prevention
• Heartworm testing is provided for dogs over 7 months old

Training & Support

Bessie uses a pee pad when she needs to potty overnight and goes outside regularly during the day.
