Mavis

Mavis is a 2-year-old, spayed female Shepherd mix weighing around 55 pounds. She's a gentle and easygoing girl who arrived at an elementary school and was cared for by a kind teacher until rescue could find her a foster home. Mavis has been thriving in foster care and is now ready to find her forever family! She has a calm demeanor and enjoys daily walks, happy to relax by your side afterward. Mavis absolutely loves other dogs and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes in her current foster home. She walks politely on leash and is easily redirected, though she does prefer to avoid sewer grates and can be startled if approached too quickly from behind. Mavis is house-trained, comfortable in a crate, and does well when left alone. She's been great with children, including an 8-year-old, and is affectionate once she feels safe.

Ideal Home

Mavis would thrive in a home with a calm and predictable environment. Given her interest in squirrels, a cat-free home would be the best fit for her.

Mavis is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows how to sit. She is eager to continue learning and would benefit from a patient and loving family.
