Toaster

Toaster is a 2.5-year-old mixed breed with a zest for life that's as contagious as his name is silly! He may have a unique, wobbly gait due to a past spinal injury, but it doesn't slow him down one bit. In fact, he's gotten quite good at navigating short stairs on his own! Toaster's enthusiasm is boundless, and while he's learning to temper his playfulness with humans, he genuinely enjoys holding an arm in his mouth – it's his special way of showing affection! He came into our care heartworm negative and without other major health concerns, making his distinctive movement his only notable trait. He seems to want to connect with other dogs, but his jerky movements have startled them in the past.

Ideal Home

Toaster would thrive in a home with older children due to his sometimes unpredictable movements. He's not yet been introduced to cats.

Ongoing Health

Toaster has a street-healed spinal break, which affects his gait. He is heartworm negative and has no other known medical concerns.

Training & Support

Toaster is a quick learner and keeps his kennel tidy, so housetraining should be a breeze. He's also surprisingly mellow on leash. While he's learning to moderate his playfulness with people, he's never aggressive.
