Meet Petunia! This adorable 11-month-old Lab mix puppy is a sweet, social girl who loves people, dogs, and kids. She's currently thriving in her foster home and has proven to be a loving, adaptable pup who fits right into busy family life. Petunia comes from an area with high shelter euthanasia rates for puppies due to lack of space. By adopting her, you're saving her life and opening up a spot for another dog in need. Petunia is a sweet, playful, curious, and affectionate girl who is loving her foster home life with multiple dogs, a cat, and young children. She's great at reading cues from other dogs and is a respectful companion. She adores people and is incredibly loving with everyone she meets, happily joining in on family activities. Whether she's playing outside, especially in the snow, or cuddling up for affection, Petunia is happiest when she's with her people. She has a wonderful balance of playful energy and cuddly sweetness, enjoying playtime and then settling in for cozy naps. She has been gentle and affectionate with the young children and comfortable around the family cat.
Ideal Home
Petunia would thrive in a home that is ready for the fun and adventure of raising a puppy. She would love a family that enjoys spending time together, whether that's playing in the yard, going for walks, or relaxing at home. Because she is so social and has done wonderfully with other dogs, she would enjoy having a canine sibling, but she would also be okay as an only dog. She has already shown she can do great with kids and has been gentle and affectionate with the young children in her foster home.
Ongoing Health
Petunia is a healthy, well-vetted puppy. Her adoption fee includes all vetting, including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and flea/heartworm preventatives.
Training & Support
Petunia is still young and will need a family committed to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Implementing routine, structure, boundaries, and proper socialization from the start is essential. We require adoptive families to crate train their puppy immediately upon arrival in their new home, which helps with potty training, energy management, and developing a well-balanced adult dog.
