Meet King Lu!

This distinguished gentleman is 11 years young and weighs about 50 lbs. King Lu has overcome a challenging past and can still be a bit timid. New sounds, quick movements, barking dogs, and passing cars can be overwhelming for him. Despite his nervousness, he remains incredibly gentle. He has made remarkable progress since arriving, evolving from being hesitant about affection and handling to now seeking out treats, chin scratches, and small moments of connection on his own terms. Once he feels secure, he enjoys leisurely sniff walks and is most comfortable in tranquil environments where he can relax and decompress.

Training & Support

King Lu is highly treat-motivated and generally walks well on a leash with only mild pulling. He has a charming habit of walking in small laps and circles as he observes his surroundings. He also appears to find comfort in the presence of other dogs and shows interest in forming canine friendships, though he's still learning how to navigate these interactions. He's not a dog who will immediately greet you with boisterous confidence; instead, he's a companion who will gradually build trust and then quietly stay by your side.

Transporation

King Lu is located in Greensboro, NC. We are open daily from 12 pm to 4 pm, except Tuesdays. No appointment is needed to visit.
