Lady Squirrel

Lady Squirrel is a resilient and loving soul with a heart of gold, despite a tough start in life. She was rescued from a dire situation in south Texas where she was left abandoned, pregnant, and without basic care. Thankfully, a kind rescuer stepped in, and Lady Squirrel and her puppies were saved from a dangerous storm. She proved to be an incredible mother, and now, she's ready to find a forever family who will cherish her. Her cropped ears might give her a tough appearance, but underneath, she's incredibly sweet and loving to everyone she meets. She's a fighter who deserves a beautiful life, and she's currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, which she will surely overcome.

Ideal Home

Lady Squirrel is currently thriving in a foster home in Hopeville, CT, with dogs of various sizes and ages, and she gets along wonderfully with them. She also adores the 4-year-old child in the home, showing her gentle nature.

Ongoing Health

Lady Squirrel is currently being treated for heartworm. All adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, fecal test, and preventatives for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. Out-of-state adopters will need to cover the cost of an interstate health certificate, typically around $75.00.

Training & Support

Lady Squirrel has shown no specific behavioral issues and is well-loved by all in her foster home.
