Aranza is a charming 4-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing around 14 lbs, who is all set to find her perfect forever family. She was rescued in November 2023, found all alone and quite thin with scabies. Thankfully, with dedicated veterinary care, good food, and a loving foster home, Aranza has made a fantastic recovery. She’s now a happy, healthy, and affectionate girl with a gentle soul. Aranza is a real cuddle bug who loves to snuggle close to her people, forming strong bonds with those she loves. She’s also great with children and friendly towards other dogs, making her a versatile addition to many households. She enjoys her walks, exploring new sights and sounds, and is a calm passenger on car rides. After facing such challenges, Aranza truly deserves a family that can provide the safety, love, and stability she’s always longed for. In return, she’ll shower your home with loyalty, affection, and wonderful companionship.
Ideal Home
Aranza would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor adventures. She needs a family that is genuinely committed to rescuing a dog and understands the unique needs of street animals, including their potential need for protection and education. Families with experience in dog behavior and training, or a strong willingness to hire a trainer, are ideal. High tolerance and patience are crucial for a rescued puppy.
Ongoing Health
Aranza has undergone a thorough health protocol, including being spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. She has also tested negative for heartworm and 4DX, and receives monthly preventive treatment for fleas, ticks, and heartworm with Nexgard Spectra. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
It's important to note that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and will need time to adjust to a new environment. Patience and understanding are absolutely crucial to help Aranza build trust and strengthen her bond with her new family. She is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this and understand that this is a common aspect of rescued street animals.
