Remington C 26043 "Remi"

Remington C 26043, also known as Remi, is a bright and sensitive boy who is eager to learn and bond with his people. He already knows several basic commands like sit, stay, down, come, and leave it. Remi enjoys playing with a ball and receiving pets, and once he feels safe and settled, he truly blossoms and loves undivided attention. His history suggests he wasn't socialized well as a puppy, and he can become overwhelmed and reactive in chaotic environments, especially around other dogs. He's shown a bite history, and while he prefers females, he can be cautious with males. Remi is currently on anxiety medication and is working on his reactivity.

Ideal Home

Remi would do best as the only dog in the home where he can decompress and build confidence without the added stress of other animals. He should not be placed in a home with children. An experienced handler who is comfortable continuing his training and helping him develop appropriate coping skills is essential.

Ongoing Health

Remi is currently on anxiety medication, which will need to be continued. He is also working on addressing his reactivity.

Training & Support

Remi can become overwhelmed and reactive in multi-dog environments, responding with barking, lunging, and snapping. He has a bite history, so careful management and a calm, predictable routine are very important. He prefers females and can be cautious with males. With consistent structure, consistency, and understanding, Remi has the potential to make meaningful progress.
