About Tater

Tater was found all alone in the middle of a highway when she was just the size of a large potato, hence her name! Thankfully, she was rescued before tragedy struck and is now safe in foster care, learning what it means to be loved and part of a family. Tater is an approximately 3-month-old Heeler mix with a sweet personality and a little bit of sass. She loves playing with her foster friend Kit, hanging out with her kitten companions, and playing with toys. Tater is a smart girl who is already learning through positive reinforcement training and is working on commands such as her name, "come," "sit," "down," and "stay." While Tater can be shy at first and is still building confidence, she is making great progress every day. Loud noises can make her nervous, but with patience and encouragement she continues to come out of her shell. She does well with dogs, cats, and kids and would thrive in a home willing to continue her training and socialization.

Ideal Home

Tater would thrive in a home willing to continue her training and socialization. Loud noises can make her nervous, but with patience and encouragement she continues to come out of her shell.

Ongoing Health

Tater is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. She will be adopted under a spay contract.

Training & Support

Tater is crate trained and currently working on establishing a consistent potty-training routine. Leash training is also a work in progress, but she's eager to learn and improve. All puppies have typical energy levels and require a dedicated adopter who is willing to invest time and effort into training. While we strive to start the potty-training process, please keep in mind that puppies this age are not guaranteed to be fully house trained.
