Lukas

Meet Lukas — a 4-year-old, 65-lb Lab mix with a huge heart and tons of enthusiasm! He's a big sweet boy who craves attention and loves being with his person, making him a total shadow dog who follows you everywhere. Lukas is a high-energy adventure buddy who would love hiking, exploring, and active outings.

Ideal Home

Lukas needs a large fenced yard where he can run, play, and burn off energy. He would love a dog sibling around his size who enjoys active, sometimes dominant-style play. Smaller dogs may get accidentally trampled in his enthusiasm. Due to his size and bouncy energy, he’d do best with older kids who can handle his happy-go-lucky enthusiasm.

Ongoing Health

Lukas is potty trained and uses the doggy door like a champ. He has been accident-free since settling in. He eats with gusto and joy!

Training & Support

Lukas needs a double leash on walks due to his strong pull and big explore drive. He's working on leash manners, calming skills, and resisting counter surfing. He is eager to learn with someone who has dog experience and enjoys training. He’s not crate trained yet, but he’s done well when left alone in the house.

Lukas is located in our care and transportation by both land and air can be coordinated whenever feasible.
