Praline is a joyful, friendly, and deeply affectionate young dog with a huge personality and even bigger zest for life! She's built for zoomies, snacks, and snuggles, and at 5-6 months old and around 20 lbs, she's the perfect size for adventures and cuddles. From the moment she arrived, Praline has been social, confident, and eager to connect with people and other dogs. While she was initially a bit of a "velcro dog," she's grown into her confidence and now enjoys her own downtime, often choosing to nap in another room once she feels comfortable. She's incredibly curious and loves to greet passersby on walks with a wagging tail, always hoping for a friendly pet. She's affectionate and social without being overly clingy, and she knows how to relax on her own.
Ideal Home
Praline would do best in an active home that can match her energy and provide consistent structure, exercise, and enrichment. A home with another young, playful dog would be ideal, or an active family with older children who can participate in her energy and play needs. She is best suited for someone who enjoys an engaged, interactive dog who wants to be part of everything. She does best with supervision around small children, as she can get excited and may jump or nibble when overstimulated, which is typical for a puppy her age.
Ongoing Health
Praline is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Praline is extremely smart and highly food motivated, making her very trainable. She has quickly mastered intermediate-level puzzle toys and is learning "sit," "down," and "stay." She loves using her brain and thrives when given tasks, puzzles, or training sessions. She walks well on leash, though she is still learning not to criss-cross in front when running. She is house-trained but may have occasional accidents if she drinks a lot of water and wakes from a deep nap; consistent outings every 3-4 hours work well. She is also crate-trained and sleeps through the night in her crate, often choosing it for naps. While she doesn't yet respond to the word "crate," she happily goes in for a treat. She is great at redirecting when overstimulated, often settling in her crate with a tossed treat for a good rest.
