Roxie is a sweet, energetic Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who is just shy of her one-year foster anniversary! She's a puppy at heart and loves to run and play, especially with a large male canine companion. She shares her toys and would thrive in a home with a yard or with active owners who enjoy hiking or running. Roxie is a bit shy with new people and past encounters with children have scared her, so she would do best in an adult-only home or one with older teens who can understand her need for a gentle approach. She loves her crate, puzzle toys, walks, being outdoors, belly rubs, and giving hugs.

Ideal Home

Roxie would do best with a large male dog companion and in a home with a yard or with owners who enjoy an active lifestyle like hiking or running. She would prefer an adult-only home but could adjust to a home with older teens who are understanding of her shyness.

Roxie has a solitary kidney and eats a prescription diet. Her recent bloodwork shows she is doing great and is expected to live a long and happy life.
