Training & Support

Pippa is easygoing and enjoyable on leash; she is more of a leisurely stroller than a power walker and loves a little guided sweet talk. She does not thrive under stern pressure, so keep it sweet. Harsh corrections or too stern a voice go right for her feelings, so what she really needs is someone who understands that confidence with new routines or places is not rushed, it is built. Give her that kind of kindness and patience, and she is absolutely going to show you her quiet confidence. With other dogs, Pippa takes meeting new dogs on leash slow and steady but softens quickly into a playful, light-hearted girl who loves a good round of chase. She is thoughtful at first, but once she feels comfortable, she knows how to have fun. She adjusts her playstyle beautifully to suit other dogs and does not overcorrect or overmanage other dogs in large playgroups.

• The adoption fee is $900, which includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport, and years of love and loyal companionship).
• There is an additional $87 surcharge due to rising transportation costs.

Transporation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
