Maggie

Maggie is an 11-year-old Shih Tzu with a heart of gold, looking for her second chance at happiness. She found herself in our care due to an unexpected medical emergency with her previous owner. Maggie is a sweet, quiet, and independent girl who is pad trained and prefers to do her business on potty pads. She's also good on a leash!

Ideal Home

Maggie would thrive in a home where her person can be present throughout the day. She's a bit of a homebody and has become a little reclusive without consistent companionship. She gets along wonderfully with other small dogs, so a canine friend of similar size could be a great addition to her new family.

Ongoing Health

Maggie is mostly deaf and has a slight limp from a previous injury, but it doesn't seem to slow her down one bit! She is currently taking medication for hypothyroidism and nerve pain.

Training & Support

Maggie is pad-trained and independent. We're still getting to know her, but with a consistent and loving routine, she's sure to blossom in her new home.
