BAXTER (Gorgeous Low Shedding Boy, Loving, Sweet, Good with Kids & Dogs)

Baxter is a handsome, scruffy Irish Wolfhound/Giant Schnauzer mix with a sweet, affectionate personality. This 80-pound boy loves to snuggle, play with squeaky toys, fetch, explore outdoors, and relax with his people. He is very low shedding and would make a wonderful adventure companion and loyal friend.

Baxter was abandoned with another dog and rescued from animal control. He is now thriving in foster care and showing what a wonderful dog he is.

Ideal Home

Baxter gets along with other dogs, especially female dogs, and shows no signs of aggression. He is curious about cats and chickens, so a home without those animals would be best. He currently lives with children ages 3 and 5, but because he does not always realize his size, older children may be a better fit.

He would enjoy a family that loves outdoor adventures, followed by quiet evenings snuggling, watching a movie, and sharing a snack.

Ongoing Health

Baxter is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and receives Credelio for flea and tick prevention and Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention. He will receive a full veterinary checkup and health certificate before traveling.

Training & Support

Baxter is crate trained and house trained. He is learning to walk on a leash, is not destructive, and has not been a habitual chewer. He enjoys baths and drinking from the garden hose.
