Scout

Scout is a sweet, shy, and nervous 1-year-old tri-color pup who weighs 12.2 lbs. He's been working with the OHS Behavior and Training team to build consistency and is looking for a special home that can offer him time and patience. Scout prefers to take things at his own pace and can be worried about new people, new surroundings, and touch. Given a little time to adjust, he blossoms into the biggest sweetheart and would be happy to keep a warm lap! Scout enjoys a slower pace of life with short walks, lots of naps, and tasty food. He has been neutered.

Ideal Home

Scout would flourish in a calm, low-traffic home. He would do best with older, dog-savvy children as loud noises and unpredictable movements can make him uncomfortable. He will need to meet any canine companions prior to adoption.

Ongoing Health

Scout has medial patellar luxation (MPL) in one or more knees, which may require long-term management or surgery.

Training & Support

Scout is shy and nervous around new people and experiences. He will require multiple meetings with potential adopters before going to his new home and needs a patient adopter who can allow him to adjust at his own pace in a calm environment.
