About Hoot

Meet Hoot! This fun-loving, active young pup is all about outdoor adventures, playtime, and has a soft spot for canine companions. He’s a natural athlete, enjoying runs and games outside, and would thrive with a playful dog buddy. Hoot is a great houseguest, sleeping soundly beside the bed at night. He's a pro at potty training, crate-trained, and has even earned free-roam privileges thanks to his excellent behavior. He's working on his leash skills and basic obedience. Hoot is social with other dogs and curious about cats. He can be a bit shy and needs a patient adopter who understands he'll warm up with time and consistency. A secure fenced yard and continued leash use will help him feel safe as he gains confidence. Hoot was found abandoned but is now learning all about safety, stability, and love, and he's eager to find a forever family to continue his journey.

Ideal Home

Hoot would do best in a home with a playful canine friend. A secure, fenced yard is recommended to help him feel safe and build confidence.

Ongoing Health

Hoot is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and heartworm preventative. He has been heartworm tested (if applicable based on age).

Training & Support

Hoot is working on basic obedience and walks well on a leash. He can be a little shy and skittish if approached too quickly, so patient adopters who understand building trust is a process will be ideal.
