Meet Lucy!

This sweet 2-year-old Chihuahua mix is a true gem. Lucy's favorite pastimes include snuggling up close, soaking in the sunshine, rolling in the grass, and enjoying zoomies around the yard. She's a pro on the leash and would be thrilled with a daily walk. Lucy forms strong bonds with her people and is quite protective of her human. While she might offer a bark when first meeting someone new, she quickly calms down and is usually eager to shower you with kisses.

Ideal Home

Lucy was new to cats in her foster home and initially hid behind her foster mom, barking at the resident felines. They now get along, though the cats aren't interested in playing with her. Lucy could potentially live with another cat, but we think she'd truly thrive with a playful doggy sibling. A canine companion might also help ease her separation anxiety, as she gets sad and whines when left alone. For this reason, an apartment setting is likely not the best fit for Lucy.

Lucy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
