Amber

Amber is a very sweet, large, tan and white Boxer mix with white paws and a black muzzle. She was born in September 2017 and is already spayed. Amber found herself in a tough spot, being abandoned by a rescue that had been boarding her. Before that, she was surrendered to the shelter by her previous owners. She's been waiting for her forever home since December 2024, and the shelter that has been caring for her is now looking for a loving family to call her own. Amber is also in need of a foster home.

Ideal Home

Amber is good with strangers and enjoys walks. While she was a bit stiff initially in a playgroup, she seemed interested in playing with other dogs and is not dog reactive on walks. We believe she just needs more positive experiences with other dogs. A meet-and-greet with any resident dogs is a must. Due to an incident where she killed a skunk, Amber would likely not be compatible with cats.

Amber is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. No specific health conditions are noted in her listing.

Training & Support

Amber knows basic commands like "paw" and takes treats nicely. She's also a great walker and enjoys treadmill sessions. She would benefit from continued socialization with other dogs in a controlled and positive environment.
