Ruby

Ruby is a spunky and happy 1-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix who is incredibly excited to find her forever family! She loves to be near her favorite people and will be a very loyal companion with the right guidance. Ruby didn't have the best socialization as a puppy, so she can be a little wary of strangers and men tend to make her nervous. However, with time and patience, she can learn to trust anyone. She is quite submissive and would likely do well with a more dominant, yet gentle, canine friend. Ruby would absolutely thrive in a structured home environment and would enjoy playing in the yard with older children who can also help her with her training. She's still learning about personal space with those she loves, but her affection is boundless!

All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Ruby would benefit from consistent training. She is a bit wary of strangers and men due to early socialization challenges, and she doesn't quite understand personal space with those she trusts. She is very submissive. As an animal shelter, we are unable to individually potty train our residents. While many adult dogs may arrive house-broken, changes in environment can lead to temporary unwanted behaviors during acclimation. Puppies will require dedicated potty training and house-breaking efforts.

Transportation

Ruby is located at our shelter. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday. We schedule our last adoption at 4pm every day.
