Meet Penguin! This sweet, gentle 3-year-old boy weighs in at 68 pounds and is looking for a patient and understanding home. Penguin can be a bit shy and unsure in new situations, but once he feels safe and secure, he blossoms into a loving and affectionate companion. He's a quiet soul with a kind heart, eager to please and quick to bond with his people.

Penguin would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard. He needs a confident, patient, and gentle adopter who is committed to helping him build his confidence through positive experiences. Due to his shyness, Penguin would do best in a home without young children.

Training & Support

Penguin is still learning how to navigate the world and build his confidence. He is interested in making friends with other dogs and shows this with adorable play bows, but can sometimes get overwhelmed and retreat. He can also be a bit of a chaser at times, but with his patient and gentle nature, he is very teachable. With proper guidance and positive experiences, he will continue to learn valuable social skills. Cats don't seem to be a major concern for Penguin; he notices them but is generally more interested in other things.
