Meet Chanel, a brave and resilient 3 to 4-year-old terrier mix who is blossoming into a happy, energetic dog after overcoming a difficult past. She was once on a euthanasia list in a crowded shelter, but thankfully, she was rescued and brought to Texas for a second chance. Chanel is so resilient that she even donates blood to help save other animals in need! While her journey has been incredible, she's still learning to trust and is searching for a patient, loving family to help her feel truly safe. She enjoys soft squeaky toys and balls but can be easily startled by loud noises. Because of her past trauma, she can be a bit flinchy when hands reach towards her, so a gentle and understanding environment is key.
Ideal Home
Chanel would thrive in a patient home with a canine companion to help her build confidence and learn to trust again.
Ongoing Health
Chanel is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, and has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and is on flea and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Chanel is still working through some past trauma and may be flinchy when approached too quickly. She needs a gentle environment where she can learn to trust at her own pace. Continued training and understanding will help her become the best dog she can be.
