Taki

Taki is a distinguished 4-year-old, 42 lb Retriever mix who arrived as a stray. He's mastered the art of being a cool, calm, and nonchalant gentleman, happy to be wherever life takes him. Taki walks beautifully on leash, knows how to sit, and enjoys leisurely explorations. He's just as content napping and dreaming of his forever home. Taki is good with other dogs but thrives with a canine companion who respects his independent nature and gives him space. He's a tall boy who can easily jump a fence if left unattended. And, of course, Taki looks dashing in a bowtie, perfectly suiting his gentlemanly demeanor. He's been with us the longest and has waited far too long for his perfect match!

Ideal Home

Taki would do best with a canine companion who respects his independent nature and is happy to give him space to relax and do his thing. He can jump a fence easily if left unattended in a yard.

Ongoing Health

Taki is heartworm positive. With proper treatment, he can live a long, happy, and healthy life.

Training & Support

Taki already knows how to sit and walks well on a leash.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Adoption fee: $250, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, microchip, and transport fee.
• Adoption will not be final until the adoption contract is discussed and signed.

Transporation

We have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. We are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.
